  • Dr. Stan began her journey at California State University, Chico, where she earned her Bachelor of Social Science. She continued to deepen her understanding of the human experience at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she was awarded her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

  • Dr. Stan provides treatment, assessment, and diagnosis to adult clients with a wide range of psychological challenges from trauma, codependency, imposter syndrome, and/or recovery from narcissistic abuse. Beyond her formal education and training, Dr. Stan brings a wealth of experience supporting individuals in recovery. She is deeply attuned to the pain and courage of those healing from trauma and abuse, and stands as a compassionate ally, helping clients navigate challenges with empathy and hope. Her unwavering commitment is to walk alongside each person, fostering safety, empowerment, and trust in the path toward recovery. She also holds a certificate from Dialectical Behavior Therapy at Evergreen.

  • Guided by a client-centered, compassion-based approach combined with real life solutions, Dr. Stan believes in the inherent worth and resilience as a fellow human on this journey. She supports clients as they move towards healing, growth, and deeper fulfillment, offering encouragement and gentle presence along the way. Dr. Stan utilizes evidence-based, individualized therapies, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindful self-compassion, to effectively help clients learn to independently manage distressing emotions and events. Clients are received with genuine care, kindness, and an open heart. Her style is collaborative, genuine, and grounded in authenticity. She believes that effective therapy helps clients to develop healthy patterns, maintain balance and mindfulness, release what doesn't serve them, and heal wounds that create barriers to living the life they want.

  • Outside of her professional work, Dr. Stan spends her free time swimming, hiking, reading, and being with loved ones. She feels most connected and present when she is in or near water, which reinforces her belief in the link between mental wellness and spending time in natural environments in order to maintain balance and mindfulness in her own life.
