His clinical approach integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy. He is confident in his ability to support clients from any background, having worked with diverse individuals who have entrusted him with their most vulnerable moments. His goal is to help clients thrive by gently addressing the internal barriers that prevent them from becoming their most authentic selves. He believes that no one is alone on this journey and that healing is possible through collaborative, respectful, and strengths-based work. Grounded in evidence-based practices, including CBT, Narrative Therapy, and MBSR, his approach honors each client's unique story while providing practical tools for lasting change.

  • A Southern California native, James brings a deep familiarity with the region's diverse communities to his clinical work. Prior to becoming a therapist, he held executive leadership positions in the entertainment and investment sectors, including EVP of Development & Production and President of Investor Relations. This previous career informs his ability to connect with clients from all walks of life, including those navigating high-pressure professional environments, career transitions, or creative industries. Outside his practice, he enjoys hiking, baking, and photography, finding that time in nature and creative expression renews his sense of balance and presence. He volunteers with several organizations, including the Trevor Project, Stand Up For Kids, Project Angel Food, the American Diabetes Association, and the Midnight Mission. These experiences and activities ground his work in humility, gratitude, and a genuine belief in the dignity of every person.
