  • Dr. Moreno believes therapy should be collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in genuine human connection. She views mental health through a culturally informed and biopsychosocial lens, recognizing that thoughts, behaviors, relationships, environments, physical health, and life experiences continuously influence one another. Her approach emphasizes self-awareness, practical skill development, and the understanding that people are better able to support their mental health and well-being when they feel understood, empowered, and supported within the context of their lived experiences.

“We are all more capable of making healthy decisions when we are supported in understanding ourselves, learning and practicing new skills, and recognizing our ability to improve our relationships, environments, and overall well-being.”

  • Dr. Moreno prefers spending as much time as possible in nature, especially in the ocean, gardens, and forests. She values travel and experiencing new environments, cultures, and food. She is drawn to creative hands-on projects that allow her to keep learning new artistic and practical skills, including painting, piano, knitting, clay art, woodworking, home renovation and design, welding, and Muay Thai training. She enjoys sharing these experiences with loved ones, including her adventurous blind cat, Skuzzie and energetic pup, Captain Rascals.
